Dear Ladies & Gentlemen. PUBG Mobile India is finally here Completely as Battlegrounds Mobile India(BGMI)! Lets Talk about the problems it faced.

Finally after so long, the wait is over. After being in early access for weeks now, PUBG Mobile India also known now as Battlegrounds Mobile India is finally officially released in India and now anyone can download it from Google PlayStore on their Android devices. No longer do players need to worry about registering themselves as a tester anymore and can easily the download the official game. The final released build version is 1.4.1 compared to the early access version which was version 1.4.0. People who were already playing the early access 1.4.0 version do not need to worry as they received an update that updates their game to the final 1.4.1 build.

We have fought hard to bring it back. I remember how badly we were hit after the game was banned because nobody can ignore the fact that PUBG Mobile is the game that blew up the gaming community in India. From YouTubers to gamers and streamers were all positively affected by the game and the growth of the community reached an all time peak. Since Android phones are very cheap in India, people who probably could not afford a powerful gaming system or console got the chance to enjoy gaming on their budget smartphones and they could play it from anywhere. Sure no one can deny the community as a whole was toxic with little kids getting obsessed with the game and their favorite streamers and YouTubers but still it overall really helped to blow the gamming community in India and brought a lot of people into the world of gaming and I am sure that a percentage of the community went into the depth of gaming industry, finding more and different games that they could enjoy. Initial growth is always important and I am sure that with time the community will mature for good!

The reason why PUBG Mobile was banned though was obviously due the data sharing issue with China's Tencent. Well that is a no brainer because Tencent made PUBG Mobile. Even before the data security issue, PUBG Mobile always had a bad impression in the minds of parents and teachers and people calling it out for promoting violence and being addictive in nature. There were many reports of kids getting massively addicted to the point where they stole money from their parents credit cards and some even killed themselves for the game

First lets talk about the data security fix. Battlegrounds Mobile India is completely based in India and is a special version of PUBG Mobile made only for India while keeping in mind that the government is happy with the product. Also now it has nothing to do DIRECTLY with Tencent as this is completely made by the South Korean Company KRAFTON an the servers are completely based in India. Microsoft Azure servers are used. The only time it may connect to Chinese servers is when you migrate your old PUBG Mobile account data into BGMI.

Now the second issue of bad blood against the game because of a few ridiculous incidents is something a lot more complex. People saying that the game promotes violence. What? Its an action video game and yes it has violence but its not real. Its an action VIDEO GAME made for ENTERTAINMENT! Its not like kids will start shooting a 100 people due to a game. Why do video games always take the blame for the violence? We have all these Movies like John Wick that have lots of violence but they are fine because they are movies but a fictional video games makes kids violent? Claps to these foolish adults. Now the problem with addiction. Is the game addictive? the answer is yes but different things can be addictive to different people. Some people can be addicted to PUBG and others can be addicted to YouTube and some others can be addicted to Netflix but can these products be blamed for the addiction? Isn't addiction something more deep rooted. All the Parents crying about addiction, why do their kids have personal expensive smartphone at ages like 15 in the first place? Do parents have no idea about age rating? Do parents no longer monitor their kids at such a sensitive age when they can be affected pretty deeply by something? Have modern parents lost the Art of providing a proper reward system to their kids? Gaming addiction to me will always be a parenting fault. We as the 90s kids used to game a lot. I played a lot of GTA Vice City in the 2000s era and back then, we had no idea about age rating and stuff but I turned out just fine even if sometimes I played for long hours. Why? because my parents created a healthy reward system for me and taught me to balance studies and fun and just did not leave me free to play games whenever I wanted. They were strict about it but were also gave me the opportunity play after doing all the school work as much as I wanted and I stopped when they told me to stop and they programmed a reward system in my brain and that is how I gained self control. But its a shame that I don't see the same happening anymore. Parents leaving their impotent kids to do whatever they want and when they lose control over their kids, they blame the video games.  Maybe the kid is having some other issues in life and is trying to cope up with through games. Isn't that how addiction work?

I hate how Battlegrounds Mobile India was forced to make all these unnecessary changes like removing blood, removing death animation, changing 'Killed' into 'Finished' and changing the name from PUBG Mobile India to Battlegrounds Mobile India just to please the government. Its a hypocritical thing for the government to do considering games like FreeFire and FAUG have blood and death animation but they don't promote Violence according to the people.

Also a lot people are still like its a Chinese game because Tencent has massive stake in KRAFTON. Are you kidding me? How does that make KRAFTON Chinese. Well acording to that logic, FLIPKART is Chinese because Tencent has stakes in it.

But at the end of the day what matters is that even after so much struggle and so much talks about addiction and data security, PUBG MOBILE is back even if it had to change its name and censor a few things.
